More and more throughout California, veterans are purchasing manufactured homes with the help of the California Department of Veterans Affairs Home Loan Program.

Manufactured Homes in Parks are funded with Qualified Veterans Mortgage Bonds or Unrestricted Funds. The interest rate for this property type is 1% higher than current QVMB and UF rates. The rate you qualify for will either be 6.95% or 7.20%. This is still lower than interest rates offered by other lenders for Manufactured Homes in Parks.
Current Limits on purchasing a Manufactured Home in a Park include:
  • Loan amount not to exceed $175,000 on the purchase of a new or existing manufactured home
  • Interest rate is 1% higher than the current CalVet rate (QVMB and UF)
  • Nearly any Mobile Home Park is acceptable, including age-restricted parks for veterans 55 or older
  • Down Payment: 10% required for a new, never-been-lived-in Manufactured Home, and 15% for an existing Manufactured Home
  • The age of the home cannot exceed 20 years from today's date
